Marina Shaker, MA, CCAPP registered CADC-I
Ms. Shaker has been in the substance use field for 8 years. Ms. Shaker began as an intern, moved on to an administrative assistant at the same treatment facility and later became a case manager for substance using women. Ms. Shaker’s full time position allows her to see firsthand the struggle of women entering treatment and the triumph of completing treatment. Ms. Shaker has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of California, Riverside and later went on to receive a Master’s degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University. Ms. Shaker is also currently working as a certified animal trainer with the goal of introducing therapy animals to the substance use field.
